Farmhouse Style Primitive Large Folk Art Double Chicken Wool Hooked Rug - Early Style ~

Helloooooo Chicky Baby! This primitive folk art, double chicken rug was hooked on linen with all hand dyed wool I dyed myself.

Adapted from a Hickety Pickety pattern, this rug measures in at a whopping 58 1/2" x 23" and would look wonderful hanging on the wall as a piece of folk art, or on the floor of a farmhouse. Just about every muted, drab colored wool under the rainbow was used. This rug totally has a one of a kind, primitive feel and I absolutely LOVE the way this rug turned out.

Keeping in the primitive style, the edges of the rug have been serged twice, and simply folded under and stitched into place.

This rug, it's a keeper, that's for sure.
