Whale Garden Markers are formed from redware clay by hand, one at a time, in my New England home studio. Each garden marker is unique and no two are ever alike with each marker varying slightly in color and shape. Garden markers are glazed on the front, while the back is left unglazed for a rich, rustic, old fashioned appearance. Garden markers are then kiln-fired to 2200 degrees.

In places with cold winters, garden markers should be stored inside during the winter months to prevent breakage just as you would with a garden pot. These markers are absolutely perfect for the coastal or New England gardener.
