Gobble Gobble!

Meet Tullia and Thomas Turkey.

Since moving to New England not a week goes by where we are not chasing wild turkeys or some other creature out of our yard.

This one of a kind and extremely primitive rug is my own design and was hooked on linen with all hand dyed wool I dyed myself in my New England home studio.

This rug measures in at around 63 x 24" and would look wonderful hanging on the wall as a piece of folk art, or on the floor of a farmhouse or a cottage. Muted, worn browns and cadet blues were used for the turkey feathers, a nice rustic clam shell color was used for the background and the flowers are a mix of antique reds, deep plum and muted robin's egg blues.

This rug is absolutely a one of a kind, and has a nice primitive feel to it. Perfect for fall or to display year round.

Keeping in the primitive style, the edges of the rug have been serged twice, and simply folded under and stitched into place.

This rug, it's a keeper!
